Bataille de Vertieres
The Battle of Vertières (Haitian Creole: Batay Vètyè) was the last major battle of the Haitian Revolution, and the final part of the Revolution under Jean Jacques Dessalines. It was fought on 18 November 1803 between the indigenous Haitian army and Napoleon‘s French expeditionary forces. We gathered around and honored the soldiers that fought during the revolution and educated the community about the battle. HAH involved the children and local Haitian partners to showcase the culture.
